Legal Warranty

1. What is the legal warranty?

As a consumer buying from us, you are protected by the statutory legal warranty on conformity under Belgian law (art. 1649bis and following of the old Belgian Civil Code, implementing EU Directive 1999/44/EC). This warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, any commercial guarantee we may offer.

2. Duration

The legal warranty lasts 2 years from the date of delivery. During that period, we are liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery.

For defects that appear within the first 12 months after delivery, the defect is legally presumed to have existed at delivery and the burden of proof rests on us, not on you.

3. What does it cover?

A product is non-conforming when it:

• Does not match the description, type, quantity or quality shown at the time of sale;
• Is not fit for the specific purpose you communicated to us before purchase;
• Does not have the qualities of a sample or model shown to you;
• Is not delivered with any accessories, instructions or packaging reasonably expected.

4. How to report a defect

Please notify us as soon as possible after you discover the defect — you have a minimum of 2 months from the moment you notice the issue to report it to us.

You can reach us in any way you like — for example by letter, by phone, or (preferably, as it is quickest) by email at info@isthisreal.be. You are not required to report a warranty claim by email. Whichever way you contact us, it helps if you can include:

• Your order number;
• A clear description of the defect;
• Photos where applicable.

5. What remedies do you have?

In case of non-conformity you can request, in order of priority:

1. Free repair or replacement — we will repair or replace the item at no cost to you, including any return shipping.
2. Price reduction or full refund — if repair and replacement are impossible, disproportionate or have not been carried out within a reasonable time.

6. Commercial guarantee (Stanley/Stella)

In addition to your statutory rights, the T-shirt base (Stanley/Stella STTU169) carries a 2-year commercial guarantee under EU Directive 1999/44/EC and Northern Irish law. This is separate from the legal warranty and does not limit it.
